This rolling, 265 acre farm (located in Jordanville, NY) lies snug between the Catskill and Adirondack mountain ranges. Gaia’s Breath raises chickens, turkeys, duck, heritage breed Icelandic lamb and heritage breed Large Black pigs. All of its animals are locally raised outdoors on open pasture and are fed organic food. You can visit the farm—it’s a pretty place to be. Try to say the same about a feedlot.
Look, at first it might feel weird to purchase cryovac’ed packages of lamb, pork and chicken at a stall at the farmers market, but we feel that it’s important to take that first step.
