As a woman business owner there are a myriad of things that you do in any given day. You are always “on” thinking about what is happening now and what needs to get done next, calls to make, products to create, meeting obligations… on and on and on the days go.
There are true benefits to stepping back and regrouping. One of those is being able to distress and rejuvenate. Even though stress is a necessary part of life, you need it for creativity, learning, your very survival; it can become harmful when it becomes overwhelming. Unfortunately, overwhelming stress has become an increasingly common characteristic of entrepreneurial live.
The reasons to take a step back and distress are obvious from a health perspective; you will feel more focused, motivated and relaxed. There are also big benefits from your business standpoint. Deliberately deciding to take a step back and distress, whether you take a vacation, a day off or use techniques that help you to re-energize, with a clear mind, you can take a deeper look at each aspect of your business and revitalizing it as well.
I did just that recently. After regrouping for a few weeks, I came back with a clear head, feeling great and more focused than ever. It was also clear to me that, it is okay to take time off from your business and guess what? The world would not end. Social media is still alive and well as are our loyal members, clients and fans. Regrouping and rebranding can help you serve your clients better, by assessing what products/services they have been utilizing through your company, and also it gives you and your team a fresh burst of motivation and inspiration to carry out your mission.
