50th New Rochelle Thanksgiving Parade Held Saturday Under Sunny Skies

The annual parade kicks off the holiday shopping season.

Residents of Queen City on the Sound lined North Avenue and Main Street watch the 50th annual Valenti-New Rochelle Thanksgiving Parade Saturday.

The temperature was brisk and at times the wind was stiff but that didn't seem to lessen the enthusiasm of the crowds.

The parade, which begins at North Avenue and Eastchester Road, featured 10 floats, seven bands and over 40 organizations. It turned right onto Main Street and ended at Maple Avenue.
