First Snow of Season for the Sound Shore

Weather conditions improve for Wednesday.

One down. Who knows how many to go.

Snow arrived as predicted Tuesday in southern Westchester County, though the "little to no accumulation" forecast missed the mark a bit.

Caution is urged because fallen leaves could cause slippery conditions.

The National Weather Service said that the chance of snow and rain showers exists before noon Tuesday. There will be gradual clearing with a high around 41.

After dipping to 26 overnight, Wednesday's forecast calls for sunny skies with a high near 42.
