The Symphony of Westchester All-Beethoven Concert

Pianist Alon Goldstein will open the 17th season

of the Symphony of Westchester, formerly the Westchester Chamber Symphony, at
8:00 p.m. on Sat., Nov.  9, 2013 at Iona College's Christopher J. Murphy auditorium.

            This season will feature a reconfigured Orchestra, according to Barry Charles Hoffman, founder and artistic director.

            “As the
Symphony of Westchester, we will perform larger orchestral works. I am
expanding the orchestra to full symphony size, 60 to 70 musicians, for three of
our four concerts, November, February and May. December will be a chamber music concert, featuring chamber musicians of the Symphony of Westchester,"  
says Hoffman, who conducts all the
concerts.

            Goldstein,a frequent soloist with the Symphony, will perform Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 4, op.58 in G major.The program will also feature Symphony no. 5, op. 67 in C minor.

       Individual full-orchestra concert tickets are $50 for
general admission, $35 for seniors (65+) and $15 for students.  Subscriptions for the three concerts are $135
for general admission and $90 for seniors. Single tickets for the December
chamber concert are $35 for general admission and $25 for seniors. A
subscription for all four performances is $165 for general admission and $110
for seniors.
