The Letter Writing Project
Words left unsaid, praise never spoken, love
never expressed – these form the basis of Wendy Wolff’s Letter Writing Project,
a writing exercise designed to relieve feelings of loss, regret, anger and
remorse. Wolff, a writer with a background in advocacy, will share her story
and her technique at an interactive book singing and sharing experience on Friday, May 30th at 7 pm at Recologie
(49 Lawton Street, New Rochelle; 914-278-9350). The free event is sponsored by
the New Rochelle Council on the Arts; light refreshments will be served, and a
special prix fixe dinner will be available for $15. For more information
consult the Recologie website at www.recologie.com
or email info@recologie.com.
The Letter Writing Project event is part
of The New Rochelle Council on the Arts literary series. NRCA was created by
the New Rochelle City Council in 1975 to stimulate and encourage the study and
presentation of the performing and fine arts; for 35 years NRCA has worked to
fulfill that missionby sponsoring art exhibitions, theatrical productions,
dance recitals, film screenings, lectures, and concert series. In addition,
NRCA has facilitated collaboration among arts organizations, sponsored public
art, and helped build relationships between the arts, the business community
and city government. New Rochelle Council on the Arts programs are made
possible through support from the Arts Alive program of Arts Westchester, with
funding from the Decentralization Program of the New York State Council on the
Arts. For more information visit NRCA on the web at www.newrochellearts.org.
