NRCA Members Variety Show

     The
New Rochelle Council on the Arts

annual Members Exhibit, What’s New?, is on view at the New
Rochelle Public Library’s Lumen Winter Gallery March 1st through 29th.   The
exhibit features works by nine artists including Alina Bachmann, Vivian
Bergenthaler, Cristina Cerone, Alvin Clayton, Anne Therese Dillen OSU, Kevin
Melchionne, Jesse Sanchez, Scott Seaboldt and Judith Weber.

The exhibit, organized by Theresa Kump Leghorn, Billie Tucker and Judith
Weber, includes works in a variety of mediums, including oil on canvas,
watercolor, charcoal and mixed media. “We were really struck by the high
quality of the art submitted, which I think is representative of the caliber of
artists working in New Rochelle today,” says Leghorn, who is President of the
NRCA.

A reception will take place at 5 pm, after the annual Members Variety Showcase on March 9th.
The event, “The Art of Friends and Family,” honors NRCA founder and Past
President Thea Eichler and will feature a range of artistic performances by
members of NRCA as well as friends and family of Mrs. Eichler, including Marc
and Terry Wager, Louise Edeiken, Jocelyn Kenner, Sarah Jane Kenner, Kenneth
Eichler, David and Lisa Eichler, Michele Abrams, Pamela Sklar, Glenn Eichler,
Clarissa Sinceno, The New Beginnings Dance Company, Madalyn & Nicole, and
the Bicker Brothers. The performances will take place in the Ossie Davis
Theater at 3:30  pm, with an artists’
reception following at 5 pm. Both the showcase and the reception are free and
