Wintry Mix in the Forecast for New Rochelle

Snow possibly mixed with sleet could arrive Monday afternoon.

Looks like New Rochelle is in for more wintry mix.

The National Weather Service forecast is calling for snow likely Monday before 2 p.m., then snow possibly mixed with sleet between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. The forecast calls for rain after 4 p.m. The high will be near 35, with a light southwest wind increasing to 5 to 9 mph in the morning.

The chance of precipitation is 60 percent, with new snow and sleet accumulations of less than half an inch.

For Monday night, the forecast calls for rain likely before midnight, then areas of drizzle between midnight and 3 a.m. After that, there's a chance of rain or drizzle.

Otherwise, it will be cloudy with a low around 35. Southwest winds will be around 7 mph.

The probability of precipitation is 60 percent, with new precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch.

Temps will warm up on Tuesday under mostly cloudy skies to near 48. There is a chance of drizzle mainly before 9 a.m.
