With the heavy rains over and skies mostly sunny, there is a wind advisory in effect for New Rochelle until 6 p.m. Thursday.
The National Weather Service said west winds will be around 24 mph, with gusts as high as 48 mph. The temperature will fall to around 39 degrees by 5 p.m., though with the wind as strong as it is predicted to be, it will feel colder.
For Thursday night, the NWS said it will be partly cloudy with a low around 27. The winds will continue to be out of the west at 17 to 20 mph, with gusts up to 44 mph.
There will be a slight chance of snow showers Friday after noon. Otherwise, it will be partly sunny, with the high near 34. It will stay windy: northwest winds from 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 31 mph.
