Snow Starts in New Rochelle, Little Accumulation Expected

Another winter mix is moving into New Rochelle.

Another snow event has started in New Rochelle, but it will likely turn to rain by afternoon.

The National Weather Service forecast said the morning snow is forecast to turn into freezing rain and sleet Monday before 2 p.m., with a wintery mix of rain, snow and sleet between 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. The forecast calls for rain after 3 p.m. The high will be near 35, with little or no accumulation expected.

For Monday night, the forecast calls for rain mainly before 8 p.m., then a slight chance of rain or drizzle, with new precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch.

Otherwise, it will be cloudy with a low around 35. Southwest winds will be around 5 to 8 mph.

Temps will warm up on Tuesday under mostly cloudy skies to near 46. There is a 20 percent chance of showers.
