Rescued on Super Bowl Sunday, Suzy Wants to Win a Home

Here is one of many dogs and cats available for adoption at the New Rochelle Humane Society.

From the New Rochelle Humane Society:

On Super Bowl Sunday, while most people were getting ready to enjoy the game, our staff was out rescuing a cat that had fallen into an open sewer drain.

Super Bowl Suzy made the rescue fairly easy, because with her friendly personality, she practically jumped into her rescuer's arms.

Once back at the shelter we discovered a very underweight cat. It wasn't noticeable immediately due to Suzy's long Maine Coon coat.

Now fully recovered, Suzy is a gorgeous Maine Coon about 2 years old. She is on the small side for a Maine Coon, but on the big side with personality.

If you are looking for a friendly, outgoing cat, look no further.

The adoption fee is $90. Super Bowl Suzy is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and tested negative for FIV and FeLV.

Contact the  for more information. They are located at 70 Portman Rd. in New Rochelle. Their phone number is 914-632-2925.

I think it's great that Pamela Davis stepped up to run and I would be glad to vote for her any otherRead More year. But this year we have one of New Rochelle's most dedicated and knowledgeable activists running. Bob Cox knows New Rochelle and the school district inside and out. I'm not sure the same can be said for Pam Davis. If you want someone who already knows where the wasteful spending is, and already knows the district's strengths and weaknesses, then Bob Cox is the person. Who cares how congenial he is? Where some people see anger and finger-pointing, others see tenacity and accountability.
