Smaller, more efficient government may actually help reduce the tax burden- and reduce the passage of ridiculous legislation like the NY unSAFE act!

Both Bergen County and Westchester have smaller legislatures with greater population. Over the past few decades, The Journal-News advocated for a reduced legislature in a number of edits and signed columns.

I personally am not talking about reducing the legislature size, although that's what the man is talking about- we need to reduce the overall size of the PAID, full-time positions !

"t" dutchess county is taking a vote next week to overturn the unsafe act. we will not see that in westchester

A lot of folks I spoke with said the sequester should have chewed into congressional pay. Not a smaller government, per se, but certainly a more accountable one.
