Grab & Go Kids Planner: Baby Steps, Practice Tests and Drum Beats

Activities for the younger set for this coming weekend.

 

1. Young Critics Club
Where/When:, 1997 Palmer Ave, Larchmont, Friday, March 2 at 6 p.m.
Why go: The Young Critics Club, held at The Voracious Reader on the first Friday of each month, is for book lovers ages 8-11 who are invited to discuss favorite stories and take home free copies of not-yet-published books. The price of admission covers pizza and soda or juice.
Pricing: $5.  

2. Free ACT Practice Test
Where/When: , 434 Main St, New Rochelle, Saturday, March 3 at 10 a.m.
Why go: Is the ACT a better test for your child? Come to a free ACT practice test and find out! Bring a calculator, a few No. 2 pencils and a snack. All students get a full score report. Register at www.kaptest.com with code AKXY2001.

3. Baby Steps

Why go: Join a half-hour session of early library and socialization for ages 3 to 18 months through music, movement and finger games.

Why go:The Lakeshore Learning Store in Scarsdale offers free crafts for kids every Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. These craft sessions provide an excellent way for kids to unleash their creativity.

Where/When:, 155 Fifth Ave, Pelham, Saturday, March 3 at 12:30 p.m.- 2:30 p.m.
Why go: This free event provides a recreational drumming experience and is open to all ages. No prior musical experience is necessary.
