Grab & Go Kids Planner: Purim, Triplets and Parades

Activities for the younger crowd for the weekend starting Friday.

1. The Triplets of Belleville
Where/When: The Pelham Picture House, 175 Wolfs Ln., Pelham, Friday, March 9 at 4:30 p.m., Saturday and Sunday, March 10 & 11 at 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.

Why go: This 2003 French animated film is recommended for ages 12 and up. A bicyclist is kidnapped from the Tour de France by gangsters and his grandmother travels to Belleville to track him down with the help of a has-been musical group—the Belleville Triplets.
Pricing: General, $12; senior/students/child, $10; members, $6. 

2. Fun Fridays at the Pelham Library
Where/When: , 530 Colonial Ave., Pelham, Friday, March 9 at 7 p.m.
Why go: Parents are invited to drop off their first through fifth grade children at the Library for two hours of reading, games, tutoring and movie-watching. High school volunteers, library staff and other adults will be on hand to supervise. This monthly program funs from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Pricing: Free.

Where/When:, 136 Prospect Ave., Mamaroneck, Saturday, March 10 at 11 a.m.
Why go: Storytime is for 2 to 5 years at the Mamaroneck Library. No registration is required. Call 914-630-5894 for details.
Pricing: Free. 

4. 15th Annual White Plains St. Patrick's Day Parade
Where/When: 
Mamaroneck Ave & Old Mamaroneck Rd., White Plains, Saturday, March 10 at noon.
Why go: Join parade marchers in painting the city green at noon. Floats and musical performers will start at the intersection of Mamaroneck Avenue and Old Mamaroneck Avenue and march down to Main Street in front of . 
Pricing: Free.

Where/When: , 255 Mamaroneck Rd., Scarsdale , Sunday, March 11 at 10 a.m.
Why go: Pizza and drinks, donated by Amore Pizza of
Scarsdale, will be available for purchase, as will baked items. All proceeds from the annual carnival will support several charities including the Who’s Watching Out for Esther program, the New Israel Fund, the Food Bank of Westchester, My Sister’s Place in White Plains and the Reingold WRT Religious School Scholarship Fund. 
Pricing: Children ages 3 and up, $15; Parents and children under 3, free.
