With this week's frugal finds you can earn rewards for going to the movies and get great bargains at local eateries.

1. Customer Appreciation Card at
The deal: As a way of showing their gratitude to their regulars, Brickyard Bistro is offering a customer appreciation card. With this card, buy five lunches and get your sixth one for free.

2. Specials at
The deal: Every Wednesday is Pasta Night at Johnny's on 5th. For just $10.95, you can get a pasta entree with a small salad. Johnny's also offers a 10 percent senior citizen discount and 10 percent off all take-out orders.

3. Regal Crown Club Program
The deal: With the free Regal Crown Club program, you can reap many benefits while going to the movies at Regal New Roc Stadium 18. Club members can accumulate credits for free movies, popcorn, candy and soft drinks with each ticket purchase. Click here to join.

4. Two-Course Prix Fixe Lunch for Under $10 at

I think it's great that Pamela Davis stepped up to run and I would be glad to vote for her any otherRead More year. But this year we have one of New Rochelle's most dedicated and knowledgeable activists running. Bob Cox knows New Rochelle and the school district inside and out. I'm not sure the same can be said for Pam Davis. If you want someone who already knows where the wasteful spending is, and already knows the district's strengths and weaknesses, then Bob Cox is the person. Who cares how congenial he is? Where some people see anger and finger-pointing, others see tenacity and accountability.
