You could stand on a corner and look around until a restaurant sign draws you in. But we've got a better idea. Each week, New Rochelle Patch picks a great restaurant either in town or nearby that is worth checking out.

For 43 years, Dudley's Parkview Restaurant has attracted customers by providing a place where the appetizers are just as good as the entrees and also makes for an excellent hangout during the spring and summer on their extensive patio which sits right up against Echo Bay Harbor.
Electra Davis now owns the restaurant, and along with her two sons, the three of them take pride in making many of their menu items in-house, as well as being a main stay in New Rochelle for so long.
"Since 1920 this property has been in our family," declared Davis who added that, "we are kind of an original, with having a deck, bar and restaurant."
The family has crossed paths with some of the legends of New Rochelle including Lou Gehrig, who Davis' mother used to always correct her daughter when referring to Gehrig by saying, "You mean Lou?"
There are a plethora of menu items to choose, from their best-selling "Bargeburger" to their appetizers including the very popular and homemade baked clams.
Just trying to think about all of the customers that have been served at Dudley's in 43 years can be staggering.
One recent customer stated on yelp.com that "the food is all around fantastic, reasonably priced and fresh. My friends and I have never had a bad experience here. The deck is great in the summer, it's right on the water, and the beer is always cold and perfect. It's our favorite spot. Try the wings, you won't be disappointed."
Happy hour is Monday through Friday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and their kitchen will stay open late if customers are still hungry, however in general they shut things down by 10 p.m.
So as the warm weather descends upon the Queen City, why not try Dudley's Parkview Restaurant located across from Hudson Park at 94 Hudson Park Rd.?
