Why go: The New Rochelle Council on the Arts presents Tea and Sonnets, an evening of creative wordplay at the Museum of Arts & Culture: The public is invited to share original poetry or prose in the spirit of Shakespeare. 3. The College of New Rochelle Presents 3rd Inaugural Lecture

Moley’s lecture will address challenges and opportunities that one global corporation, Pepsico, faces as it strives to evolve a “culture of wellness” within its organization.

5. College of New Rochelle Drama Presents Assassins

Why go: CNR Drama presents Stephen Sondheim’s stirring and surprisingly patriotic musical “Assassins.” With a book by John Weidman, and based on an idea by Charles Gilbert, Jr., “Assassins” delves into the lives and circumstances that drove nine men and women to attempt (successfully or otherwise) to assassinate presidents of the United States. The music varies to reflect popular music of the times, from the 1860s to the 1980s. They’re all here, from Booth to Hinckley. The cast of actors from is from New York and the surrounding communities.
