Why Spend Another Day at the Animal Shelter, shelter dog Cindy

A personal favorite of mine, I actually call her Cindy Lu.  Cindy is a large mastiff mix with a heart of gold.  Dark great color, this girl's sad face will steal your heart in a split second.  This isn't Cindy's first time at the shelter and to no fault of her own.  Cindy's bad luck began when her first family lost their home.  Cindy spent over a year at the shelter and then her lucky day came, another family adopted her only to return within a year because they lost their home.  Very sad as all Cindy wants is a home of her own.  This big girl loves long, slow walks and walks great on a leash.  She is not too fond of other dogs but is great with children as she has lived with children in both families.  Cindy is also good with cats.  Cindy is not too active, and just prefers to hang out and relax.  She definitely would be an ideal couch potato.  If you are looking for a calm dog who just likes to hang out, Cindy is your girl.  Don't let her size discourage you, Cindy is perfectly fine laying on her bed and cat napping for the day and that doesn't take up too much space.

Please help us share Cindy with others so we can help her find a permanent home 4ever.

Cindy is available for adoption at the Mt. Vernon Animal Shelter, located at 600 Garden Avenue Mt. Vernon NY 10550.  Telephone # 914-665-2444
