PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Process and record all assigned financial transactions including accounts receivables, accounts payables, payroll, and general ledger functions. 

 

KEY ROLES (Essential Job Responsibilities):

 

§  Compiles regular financial reports (budget variance reports, general ledger updates, balance sheets, cash flow, etc.) to support management-level decision making regarding the Club’s fiscal health.

§  Assist with strategic planning and forecasting.

§  Identify opportunities for quality improvement in finance department.

§  Ensure the maintenance of accurate and timely financial records by entering, processing and reconciling transactions in accordance with established procedures and formats.

§  Implement day-to-day accounting activities, including processing all financial transactions and reports through administrative systems, consistent with Club policies and procedures.

§  Assists with financial analysis, cash flow management, cost allocations and cost analysis.

§  Reconciles and analytically reviews balance sheet and income statement accounts.

§  Process payroll to send to outside Payroll Company and maintain payroll records and employee timesheets.

§  Assist with budget preparation.

§  Prepares grant budgets and billings.  Assist with grant and annual reports and special compliance requirements.

§  Work with auditor when requested to ensure agency is in compliance with all regulatory requirements.  Work closely with auditors in implementing any recommended controls or procedures intended to improve Club financial recordkeeping.

§  Handle all matters relating to various insurance policies.

§  Pursue collection of overdue accounts

 

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED (Minimum Qualifications):

§  Associates degree or equivalent.

§  Three to five years of general accounting experience using computerized accounting systems.

§  Strong analytical skills, with attention to detail.

§  Knowledge of practices and procedures of generally accepted accounting principles as applied to financial accounting, reporting, and transactions.

§  Knowledge of relevant federal, state, and local laws, codes, and regulations related to financial accounting.

§  Knowledge of principles and practices of benefits and wage and salary administration and record keeping.

§  Knowledge of QuickBooks, and Microsoft Excel.

§  Ability to prepare and analyze financial statements and reports.

§  Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
