Waiting for the Kardashians

Fans lined up hours in advance of the celebrity's visit to Cross County Shopping Center.

There are long lines already at the Cross County Shopping Center for today's visit by the Kardashian sisters.

For fans of the hit T.V. show Keeping Up With The Kardashians on the E! network, all three sisters—Khloe, Kim and Kourtney—will be on hand at the Sears store at the .

This month marks the one year anniversary of the launch of their clothing line with Sears and the sisters chose the Cross County Sears location due to its high sales volume and as a way to promote the 2012 clothing line, according to store officials.

The event begins at 4 p.m. and the first 200 people in line who have made a purchase from the Sear's Kardashian Kollection—which includes clothing, intimate apparel, accessories, shoes, home fashions and prescription eyewear—between Sept. 9-14 will have the chance to meet the sisters and get an autographed photo.

Customers must bring their purchase and original receipt to the store on Friday to be eligible and they are only allowing one person per reciept.

Prescription eyewear purchases must have the original receipt and I-NET from the order. Photocopies will not be accepted.

Wrist bands were distributed beginning at 6 a.m. where as many as 150 people were already in line, some arriving at the Sears store six hours prior.

"I'm tired but excited," said 19-year-old Vannessa Ianardo of Mount Vernon, continuing, "I love the Kardashians, they make me want to go into business and develop my own products too."

Michael Dugan watched his girlfriend Jenna get on line at 2 a.m. He stopped by at 7 a.m. to bring her some breakfast.

"A boyfriend has to do what a boyfriend has to do," chuckled the Yonkers resident who lives nearby on Bronx River Road, adding that, "I know I earned a bunch of points for this, so as long as she's happy, I'm happy."

I think it's great that Pamela Davis stepped up to run and I would be glad to vote for her any otherRead More year. But this year we have one of New Rochelle's most dedicated and knowledgeable activists running. Bob Cox knows New Rochelle and the school district inside and out. I'm not sure the same can be said for Pam Davis. If you want someone who already knows where the wasteful spending is, and already knows the district's strengths and weaknesses, then Bob Cox is the person. Who cares how congenial he is? Where some people see anger and finger-pointing, others see tenacity and accountability.
