[VIDEO] Key Food Opens Superstore in New Rochelle

The supermarket is owned by Uncle Giuseppe's Marketplace, a Long Island-based company.

With the cutting of a red ribbon with oversize scissors, the new Key Food Superstore opened its doors at 366 Pelham Rd. Wednesday in New Rochelle.

Close to 50 people were waiting with carts at hand to shop at the former A&P supermarket.

About 200 jobs will be created at the new store, said Uncle Giuseppe's President and CEO Philip Del Prete. The 33,000-square-foot facility is an independently owned Key Food store.

I can't believe a nice establishment like this would hire someone with an extensive criminal record.I can't even shop in this store due to the fact that the man working there is someone from my old throggs neck neighborhood and violently assault Ed my daughter. Mr Thomas Mauro. Who also has an open warrant in Yonkers.I will be sure to notify thd authoritys of his where abouts. I can't believe this man is actually working here. I will notify all my friends not to shop here unless this man is gone. Whoever hired him should be ashamed of themselves.
