CrossFit Training Comes to Area

There will be an Open House/Grand Opening Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013.

A new place to workout—to specify do CrossFit training—is CrossFit The Flats next door to New Rochelle in Mamaroneck.

Megan Vizzari, who co-owns the business with her husband Bobby Vizzari, said they were excited to bring CrossFit to the community.

CrossFit is a strength and condition program that mixes aerobic exercise, gymnastics and weight lifting, what Megan Vizzari said is "high intensity."

She said the program uses no unnatural movements.

"You should be able to watch anyone carrying groceries from the car," Vizzari said, "and those are natural movements."

When her husband is at the workout center full time, there will be classes during the day, Vizzari said.

They want to introduce CrossFit to the community and will be having an Open House/Grand Opening from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. It location is 616 Fayette Ave. in Mamaroneck.
