'Stunning'

A review of the newest book in Sara Shepard's best selling "Pretty Little Liars" series.

Sara Shepard has once again added to her best selling “Pretty Little Liars” series with the 11th book, “Stunning”.

This most recent PLL book was published on June 5th, 2012 and fans welcomed this addition to their beloved, suspenseful series.

“Stunning” follows your favorite Rosewood liars and their attempts to find out who the new A is and how she could possibly know all their secrets.

Aria, Hanna, Spencer, and Emily have come a long way since they found out that the Alison they knew and loved was actually Courtney, the real Ali’s twin sister.

They have a bunch of new secrets they don’t want to share, like drug scandals and a pregnancy.

‘A’ watches the girls every step they take but the Liars never seem to catch her.

This book was the same as the rest of the “Pretty Little Liars” series; we didn’t advance anywhere. We haven’t figured out who the new “A” is, nor any other new information that would be beneficial to the series.

The past three books have been pure fillers.

This is a cherished, successful series but Shepard isn’t adding the right stuff to it. The writing is good, Shepard hasn’t lost that but it’s getting old now. She’s beating a dead horse, there is nothing left to say.

Everyone appreciates added books and a continuation of scary, suspenseful tales but it should’ve ended with the real Alison dying in the fire.

It would be a different story if the new books added something to the story and weren’t a let down but that doesn’t seem to be the case.

As long as readers are buying into “Pretty Little Liars”, you can be sure that Sara Shepard will keep pumping them out. The book was good, a really quick, easy read and it’s enjoyable if you are a lover of the series.

Eventually we have to find out who “A” is and hope that the torment ends for the Rosewood liars.

I think it's great that Pamela Davis stepped up to run and I would be glad to vote for her any otherRead More year. But this year we have one of New Rochelle's most dedicated and knowledgeable activists running. Bob Cox knows New Rochelle and the school district inside and out. I'm not sure the same can be said for Pam Davis. If you want someone who already knows where the wasteful spending is, and already knows the district's strengths and weaknesses, then Bob Cox is the person. Who cares how congenial he is? Where some people see anger and finger-pointing, others see tenacity and accountability.
