Hundreds Walk For Support Connection

18th Annual Support-A-Walk at FDR Park

Hundreds of people participated in the Support Connection's 18th Annual Support-A-Walk at FDR State Park in Yorktown Sunday morning.

The event included a 3-mile walk through the park along with live entertainment and other activities to raise awareness of the needs of people fighting breast and ovarian cancer.

Many participants wore shirts or signs stating who they were walking either in memory of or in support of, and pink was the predominant color of most.

Proceeds went to help fund Support Connection's support services for those in need.
