2. Summer Storytime at Starbucks
Where/When: , 1278 North Ave., New Rochelle, Tuesday, July 17 at 10 a.m.
Why go: Sponsored by Beth El Synagogue Center and Starbucks, on Tuesdays through Aug. 28, Beth El staff will engage your child with an exciting story while you enjoy your morning up of coffee. 3. A Surprising Conversation: Issues That Affect Reproductive Health in the African-American Community
Where/When: , 30 Division St., New Rochelle, Tuesday, July 17 at 6:30 p.m.
Why go: View a short documentary about Planned Parenthood's service to and with the African-American community, followed by a discussion of the film with a panel of professionals. Planned Parenthood Hudson Peconic invites individuals of all ages and ethnicities who are concerned about the health of African-American women. The event includes a buffet dinner, beer, wine or non-alcoholic beverage.

4. Bayonets, Musket Balls and Ship's Bread
Where/When: St. Paul's Church, 897 S. Columbus Ave., Mount Vernon, Wednesday, July 18 at 1 p.m.
Why go: See a costumed demonstration about the life of a Revolutionary War soldier at a church that was used as a hospital during the war. Refreshments will be provided.

5. Emil Paolucci Summer Sounds Concert Series
Where/When: , 94 Hudson Pk. Rd., Wednesday, July 18 at 7:30 p.m.
Why go: The Fabulous Sixties Rock Show—a musical tribute to the sounds of the “swinging sixties”—will be the next concert in the Emil Paolucci Summer Sounds Concert Series at Hudson Park. The concert series, which features an eclectic menu of free music on eight consecutive Wednesdays in July and August, is presented by the New Rochelle Council on the Arts, in partnership with the New Rochelle Dept. of Parks and Recreation, and sponsored by Webster Bank.
