New Rochelle Artists on Display at JCC

The exhibit will be at the Jewish Community Center of Mid-Westchester in New Rochelle.

Members of the New Rochelle Art Association have mounted an exhibit for the second time at the Jewish Community Center of Mid-Westchester beginning Wednesday, Jan. 2.

Nineteen artists will be on display, including the curator, Cristina Cerone.

Cerone said she thought the exhibit, which rounds off the NRAA's centennial year—1912-2012—was the best the JCC has seen since the last NRAA exhibit.

"It's a wonderful mix of abstracts, landscapes, photography, glass and mixed media," she said. "They are all represented, and it's a must see."

The exhibit will run through Feb. 8. The opening reception is from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 6.

The artists exhibiting include: Debra Friedkin, Olimpia Gambacorta, Roberto Reid, Brenna Rosenfeld, Irene Pastarnak, Sherri Paul, Cecelia Duncan, Vivian Bergenthal, Wendy Cammer, Lorie Gurian, Phyllis Tarlow, Gina Kingsley, Cristina Cerone, Kathleen Nesi, Anne Therese Dillen, OSU, Mary Jo Viola, Ruchama Schecter, Joan Lengel and NRAA President Jesse Sanchez.
