Mozart's Operas the Subject of Discussion, Performance

Professor Eric Jennings will be joined today by singer Julie Diniz in live excerpts from and a discussion of the music and libretto of Mozart's trio of masterworks, Cosi Fan Tutte, The Marriage of Figaro and Don Giovanni.

The fickle nature of romantic love is the recurrent theme of these three operas: three very different views of endlessly complex human relationships.

The moral of each story, and much of the genius in the way the story is told, is in the music. It's Mozart at his timeless best.

Videos, live singing and piano abound for these lectures. It will be held in the Ossie Davis Theater. Admission is free; made possible by the Friends of the New Rochelle Public Library.
