Last Chance: Live Music in New Rochelle

Summer concert series continue in the Queen City on the Sound.

Do you like live music? Do you like it even more when it's free?

The Emil Paolucci Summer Sounds Concert Series continues in Hudson Beach Park at the bandshell Wednesday at 7 p.m. with the Andrew Swift Five, performing jazz favorites and original compositions.

The concert series is presented by the New Rochelle Council on the Arts, in partnership with the New Rochelle Dept. of Parks and Recreation, and sponsored by Webster Bank.

On Thursday, the New Rochelle Downtown Business Improvement District Music on the Green concert series continues with Jesters of Jive with Joan Crowe. The concert starts at 7 p.m. on Library Green.

The New York City band is influenced by the jump-jive and swing bands of the 1940s including Count Basie, Glen Miller, Benny Goodman, Artie Shaw and The Dorsey Brothers.
