With Greek Independence Day coming up in March, the New Rochelle Public Library will be the scene of a free family concert of traditional Greek Music and Dance.
The concert will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 23, in the newly remodeled Ossie Davis Theater.
Members of the Greek American Folklore Society perform traditional dances in authentic costumes, accompanied by music of flute, clarinet and bouzouk.
The event is one in a year-long series of “BID Family Days Go Global for New Rochelle’s 325th Anniversary.” Greek Independence Day is March 25.
The concert is made possible by the New Rochelle Downtown Business Improvement District (BID) in conjunction with the library, City School District and New Rochelle Dept. of Parks and Recreation.
