Clearwater Festival Comes to Westchester This Weekend

This weekend musicians from around the world will rock Westchester on seven stages in the name of love and respect for the environment. 

Clearwater’s Great Hudson River Revival is this weekend on Saturday and Sunday at Croton Point Park in Croton-on-Hudson.

Named by Outside Magazine as one of the top four festivals in the U.S., the Clearwater Festival was founded by Pete Seeger and is the nation's oldest music and environmental festival. Click here for a history of the festival.

All proceeds from the event go toward the Hudson River Sloop Clearwater, Inc.’s work to protect the Hudson River and its tributaries and advocate for the environment, as well as and providing educational programming on sustainability.

The 2013 Clearwater Festival will feature seven sustainably powered stages with music, dance, story telling and other family friendly activities including crafts, the Green Living Expo, Working Water front boat exhibits and rides, an artisanal food and farm market, environmental displays and exhibits and the Circle of Song where the audience is encouraged to participate.

A food drive for the Westchester Food Bank will take place on Saturday June 15, so be sure to bring non-perishable canned food items to donate as you enter the park. 

Doors open at 9 a.m. to the festival, which is wheelchair accessible. Most stages will be staffed with American Sign Language interpreters.
