Arts, Crafts at Wildcliff in New Rochelle Saturday

Craftsmen will be displaying and selling their creations, and New Rochelle Patch will be on hand as well.

About 15 exhibitors will be displaying their arts and crafts Saturday on the grounds of .

The Arts and Crafts Festival at Wildcliff will be open from 11 a.m to 5:30 p.m. Wildcliff is located at 44 Wildcliff Rd. The rain date is 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.

Organizer Eric Woodlin, of Incoming Tide Entertainment, said this was the third event like this he has done, including one in 2011 and one in June.

"There will be all kinds of ceramics, paintings, jewelry, photography, pottery and metal and glass work," he said.

"Of the various craftsmen," Woodlin said, "I would say the majority are jewelry. So if you want some really cool jewelry, come see us on Saturday."

The fair will be accompanied by yoga demonstrations, pop-up workshops and live music. It will be held on the grounds where the is.

Representatives from New Rochelle Patch, including Editor Michael Woyton, will be manning a table from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday providing information about Patch, helping people sign up for newsletters and handing out some Patch merchandise.

Woodlin said fair attendees will have the opportunity to purchase half-price tickets for the 6 p.m. concert taking place at Wildcliff Saturday for $7.

The featured artist will be singer, songwriter and guitarist Toni Ann Semple and her band performing an evening of R&B, jazz and soulful selections from her new album. Bring a picnic dinner and enjoy the evening.

The next Arts & Crafts Festival at Wildcliff will be Aug. 11.

I think it's great that Pamela Davis stepped up to run and I would be glad to vote for her any otherRead More year. But this year we have one of New Rochelle's most dedicated and knowledgeable activists running. Bob Cox knows New Rochelle and the school district inside and out. I'm not sure the same can be said for Pam Davis. If you want someone who already knows where the wasteful spending is, and already knows the district's strengths and weaknesses, then Bob Cox is the person. Who cares how congenial he is? Where some people see anger and finger-pointing, others see tenacity and accountability.
