New Rochelle Roads to Be Resurfaced Beginning Tuesday

Beginning Tuesday, July 23, New Rochelle's annual road resurfacing program will begin.

Milling and paving will be on the following streets as conditions permit, according to a press release from the city:

Tuesday, July 23—Milling on Wildcliff Road (from Hudson Park Road to private property lines), Fairview Place and South Division Street (from Main Street to Davis Avenue).

Wednesday, July 24—Milling on Washington Avenue (from 1st Street to 7th Street) and Glenwood Place.

Thursday, July 25—Paving on milled portions of Wildcliff, Fairview and South Division.

Friday, July 26—Paving on milled portions of Washington Avenue and Glenwood Place.

Also as part of a joint inter-municipal agreement, New Rochelle will serve as lead agency for road resurfacing projects in Pelham, Pelham Manor, Mamaroneck Village and Town and Larchmont.

City Manager Charles Strome III said the smaller communities will benefit from the advantage of competitive volume pricing.

"Joint agreements such as these are win-win all around," he said.
