New Rochelle Public Library to Switch to Summer Hours

The two facilities will be closed on Sundays beginning June 30.

It's that time of year when the New Rochelle Public Library slows down a little.

Beginning Sunday, June 30, both the and the will be closed on Sundays through Sept. 2.

The children's library will be closed on Saturdays from June 30 through Sept. 1.

The main library will be open Saturdays beginning July 7 through Aug. 25. The hours will be 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Both libraries will be closed Saturday, June 30, and Sunday, July 1. They will also be closed Wednesday, July 4, as well as Saturday, Sept 1 through Monday, Sept 3 for Labor Day.

Both libraries will resume regular Saturday hours Sept. 8. The main library will resume regular Sunday hours (1 p.m. to 5 p.m.) Sept. 9. The children's library will remain closed on Sundays.

Summer hours at the main library:

  • Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Wednesdays, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Fridays, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. (July 7 through Aug. 25)
  • Sundays, closed (June 24 through Sept. 2)

Summer hours at the Huguenot Children's Library:

  • Mondays and Thursdays, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Saturdays, closed (June 30 through Sept. 1)
  • Sundays, closed (beginning June 24)
