New Rochelle Children Make 'Robots'

Making a robot—albeit a small one—was the task Monday at the Huguenot Children's Library in New Rochelle.

Aaron Tang and Diane Kobrin briefed the children on how robots can be used to exploring places humans can't, such as Mars.

"For the Phoenix Mars mission, the lander was a robot," Kobrin said, adding that it helped put eyes and ears in a place where people can't go.

The Bricks 4 Kidz workshops are part of the "Old Fashioned Summer Fun" program at the Huguenot Children's Library, 794 North Ave. The next workshop is on Thursday. For more information, call 914-632-8954.
