UPDATE: Snow in Forecast for New Rochelle

Predictions of 2 to 4 inches are in the forecast for Saturday.

5:05 p.m.: The National Weather Service has revised its forecast for Saturday. Snow totals during the day are predicted to be between 2 and 4 inches. The snow will be mainly are 10 a.m., and the high is expected to be near 36 degrees.

Enjoy the mostly sunny—but chilly—weather Friday in New Rochelle, because Saturday will take a turn for the white stuff.

The National Weather Service is predicting 1 to 3 inches of snow during the daylight hours Saturday, mainly after 9 a.m. Snow is forecast to continue into Saturday night with less than one inch additional.

The high Saturday will be near 35 degrees, with a calm wind becoming northeast at 5 to 8 mph during the afternoon. The temperature will dip overnight to around 26. Winds from the northwest will be 8 to 13 mph.

Sunday is predicted to be mostly sunny, though breezy—14 to 21 mph from the northwest. The high will be hear 38.

As of Friday morning, the weather service isn't forecasting any more precipitation through New Year's Day.

I think it's great that Pamela Davis stepped up to run and I would be glad to vote for her any otherRead More year. But this year we have one of New Rochelle's most dedicated and knowledgeable activists running. Bob Cox knows New Rochelle and the school district inside and out. I'm not sure the same can be said for Pam Davis. If you want someone who already knows where the wasteful spending is, and already knows the district's strengths and weaknesses, then Bob Cox is the person. Who cares how congenial he is? Where some people see anger and finger-pointing, others see tenacity and accountability.
