Monday is Labor Day, a national holiday for many local businesses.
In New Rochelle, City Hall will be closed, as will the United States Post Office. There will be no mail delivery
There will be no garbage collection on Monday, shifting garbage and trash pickup to Tuesday and Wednesday for the northern part of New Rochelle and the southern part, respectively. Garbage and paper will be picked up Thursday in the north and Friday in the south.
Both branches of the New Rochelle Public Library will be closed Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
Most banks will be closed for the holiday Monday.
There is no school for the New Rochelle School District. Teachers and staff report Tuesday, with classes beginning Wednesday.
