A little mist did not deter hundreds of dogs and their owners from turning out Sunday to support the New Rochelle Humane Society and Pet Rescue of Larchmont.
The fifth annual Hounds on the Sound walk-a-thon and festival featured pet-related vendors, agility courses and games.
Co-chairwoman Dianne Heim was pleased it didn't rain.
"A little mist didn't keep these people from showing up," she said.
The money raised from the walk-a-thon goes to the New Rochelle Humane Society and Pet Rescue of Larchmont, after a percentage is taken off for the Mount Vernon Animal Shelter.
Scott Shannon, of WPLJ's Scott and Todd in Morning Show, cut the ribbon to kick off the walk.
