A heat advisory has been issued for New Rochelle until 6 p.m. Wednesday.
The National Weather Service said that temperatures could reach 94 Wednesday, and the area could experience a heat index of up to 103 due to the high humidity.
An air quality alert is also in effect until 11 p.m. Wednesday.
