Halloween Parade on Tap Saturday for New Rochelle's Downtown

The annual event is sponsored by the New Rochelle Downtown Business Improvement District.

Come Saturday morning the downtown streets of New Rochelle will be filled with ghosts, goblins and other costumed kiddies.

The annual Merchant's Urchins Parade will begin at 9:45 a.m. at New Street, New Roc City, in front of , and end at Library Green.

The parade is a part of the New Rochelle Downtown Business Improvement District's Family Days, which are a series of events all year round.

After the parade, there is a Halloween arts and crafts table at the Library Green, where kids can paint pumpkins.

In case of rain, the parade will be canceled but the pumpkin painting will take place in the .

And Saturday would be the perfect time for all those proud moms and dads to take pictures of their costumed little ones and enter them in Patch's Halloween Costume Contest. You could win a trip to meet Heidi Klum and win money for your favorite local charity. For more information, go here.
