“We’re seeing more and more young people who have substance use issues which are compounded by other mental health issues,” says Executive Director Amy Gelles. “The Seven Challenges is a recognized, evidence-based program that addresses these in a way which effectively reaches adolescents.”

The Seven Challenges provides a framework for young people (ages 13-25) to think through their own decisions about their lives and their use of alcohol and other drugs.

The 1.5 hour informational session is open to anyone who wants to learn more about The Seven Challenges and kicks-off a three-day training in which members of TGCW’s counseling team will become certified providers of this program.

The Guidance Center of Westchester is able to host The Seven Challenges as part of a grant provided by OASAS (New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services).
