Here's a guide for events during the Memorial Day weekend.

1. Live Acoustic Music
Where/When: , 13 Huguenot St., New Rochelle, Friday, May 25 at 9:30 p.m.
Why go: Start your Memorial Day weekend by enjoying three hours of the best live acoustic music in Westchester brought to you every Friday at the Post Road Ale House.

Pricing: Free. 

2. Living History: Color My World—A Day With Natural Dyes
Where/When: , 20 Sicard Ave, New Rochelle, Saturday, May 26 at 10 a.m.
Why go: Costumed Colonial re-enactors demonstrate how natural dyes where used to dye yarn and fabric in Colonial times. See how onion skins, black walnut shells and dead bugs, among other natural materials, were used to add color to colonist's lives. Children will have an opportunity to try their own hands at dying with purpose-designed, hands-on activities.
Pricing: Suggested donation for adults, $5; children, $2.

3. La Boheme
Where/When: 
, 175 Wolfs Lane, Pelham, Saturday, May 26 at 3:45 p.m.
Why go: From the Gran Teatre del Liceu, Barcelona, this classic opera in four acts was recorded March 13. It's the tale of star-crossed lovers—Mimì and Rodolfo—in Paris. It's  one of Puccini's most popular operas and also probably one of the best loved in the entire Italian repertory. We all know how it ends, but it's well worth watching again and again.
Pricing: General admission, $20 at the door; members, $16.

4. I Wanna Rock (for Autism)! Benefit Concert
Where/When: , 94 Hudson Pk. Rd., Saturday, May 26 at 9 p.m.
Why go: Walk Now for Autism Speaks Team Julica's Jewels is gearing up to host its annual benefit concert, featuring Port Chester bands Echo Station and Infectious By Nature. The entrance fee gets you 15 raffle tickets, and 100 percent of the proceeds is donated to Walk Now for Autism Speaks.
Pricing: $10.

5. Memorial Day
Where: New Rochelle and Pelham
Why go: Honor the nation's servicemen and woman and veterans with ceremonies and parades in New Rochelle and Pelham. In New Rochelle, there's a ceremony beginning at 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 28, followed by a parade and a picnic. In Pelham, the parade starts at 11:30 a.m. and is followed by a ceremony.
