Freeze Warning Issued for Sound Shore

There definitely will be frost on your Halloween pumpkin come Monday morning.

Even before the sun rises at 6:29 a.m. Monday (hope you remembered to reset your clocks to Eastern Standard Time), temperatures are expected to dip to around 30 degrees. The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a freeze warning from 10 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 3 until 9 a.m. Monday, Nov. 4, for New Rochelle and Larchmont-Mamaroneck.

If you're trying to keep the last blooms on your potted plants, you'll want to bring them indoors.

"The freezing temperatures will kill crops and other sensitive vegetation, bringing an end to the growing season," according to the NWS.
