UPDATE: Flash Flood Warning Cancelled, Watch in Effect

10:35 a.m., November 27, 2013: The National Weather Service has cancelled a flash flood warning for southern Westchester, but a flash flood watch remains in effect until 4 p.m. Wednesday.

------------

The National Weather service has issued a flash flood warning until 11 a.m. Wednesday for southern Westchester County.

There were reports of flash flooding Wednesday morning in areas where up to 3 inches of rain had fallen.

The weather service said an additional 1 to 2 inches of rain is still possible through late morning Wednesday.

A flash flood warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring. People are urged to move to higher ground immediately, and those living along streams or creeks should take immediate precautions to protect life and property.
