10-10-10 Project at New Rochelle Public Library

The library will be showing the exhibit through the weekend.

The New Rochelle Public Library is the site of an exhibit of about 50 photographs from One Day, Photos of Life in New Rochelle, the 10-10-10 Project. The exhibit runs through Saturday, Nov. 10.

On October 10, 2010, photographers fanned out across and above New Rochelle capture a single day in the city. Photographer and organizer Karen Hessel and a committee chose the shots that would eventually be printed in a hardcover book.

Hessel said she received over 4,000 photographs which were winnowed down to the 307 that appear in the book.

The book can be ordered from www.101010nr.com.
