Restaurateur Nick Di Costanzo and his newest venture, Capriccio Latino an Italian restaurant with Latin flair, have emerged as the newest supporters of the Boys & Girls Club of New Rochelle. On Tuesday August 20th, during the Capriccio Latino “Grand Opening” celebration, an announcement will be made regarding Di Costanzo’s support of the Boys & Girls Club of New Rochelle’s “It Just Takes One” Annual Campaign as well as the Club’s Career Launch Program.
Career Launch is a Boys & Girls Club of America program that encourages Club members to assess their skills, explore careers, make sound educational decisions and ultimately prepare themselves for the nation’s workforce. As part of the program Club staff, volunteers and local business owners partner to showcase career opportunities, become mentors, enhance employment search skills and improve the job readiness of participating Club members. In an effort to expose Club members to the career opportunities available within the food industry, Di Constanzo will host a private Capriccio Latino “Career Launch” event. This event is designed teach participating children the essentials of entrepreneurship as well as how to operate a successful restaurant. As testament to his commitment to the cause, Di Costanzo will also offer a graduate of the Boys & Girls Club of New Rochelle’s Career Launch program the opportunity for paid employment at Capriccio Latino.
“In serving the New
Rochelle community for over 30 years I’m proud of this city and what it
represents. There are so many worthwhile
causes that need support, but I opted for the Boys & Girls Club of New
Rochelle because they strive to offer local kids the best possible start in
life. Words cannot express the joy I feel at being able to positively
contribute to a child’s future by partnering with an organization celebrating
over 89 years of success!” says Di Costanzo.
This Fall, Capriccio Latino will host a “Dine Out &
Donate” Program aimed at raising funds for the Boys & Girls Club of New
Rochelle’s “It Just Takes One” Annual Campaign. During this event a portion of
each Capriccio Latino customer’s total bill will be donated to the Club. All
money raised will be used to support Boys & Girls Club of New Rochelle
programs and support the organization’s general operations.
“The support of people like Mr. Di Costanzo are paramount to the Club’s continued success says Quay Watkins, Boys & Girls Club of New Rochelle Executive Director. Allowing our children the opportunity to learn what it takes to run a restaurant and consider a possible career in the food industry is tremendous. I can’t thank Nick enough for being so generous with his time and talents to make this happen! I hope after learning about this partnership, others will partner with the Boys & Girls Club with opportunities to expose the children we serve with positive career options and opportunities!
