“Identity, Citizenship, and Belonging: Immigration in a Changing World,” a workshop for history teachers in grades 6-12, will be held on Tuesday, January 7th, 2014, from 4-8 PM at Manhattanville College, Reid Castle, West Room, 2900 Purchase Street in Purchase, NY.  This workshop is presented by Facing History in partnership with the Holocaust and Human Rights Education Center (HHREC) and the Duchesne Center for Religion and Social Justice at Manhattanville College.

The workshop uses Facing History’s resource Race and Membership in American History: the Eugenics Movement to reflect on the history of immigration in the early 20th century and the contemporary realities of immigration.
