Boys & Girls Club of New Rochelle & Amazon.com Offer New Way to Shop & Support Kids!

As the holiday shopping season begins, the Boys & Girls Club of New Rochelle now offers the community an exciting way to shop and support the 2,000 children its serves each year.

The Boys & Girls Club of New Rochelle is pleased to announce its participation in the new Amazon.com initiative entitled, AmazonSmile. AmazonSmile is a program that makes it easy for customers to support charitable organizations, like the Boys & Girls Club of New Rochelle whenever they shop online. Customers who visit AmazonSmile (smile.amazon.com) will find the exact same Amazon they know and love. They’ll enjoy the exact same low prices, vast selection and convenient shopping experience – with the added bonus that Amazon will donate a portion of the purchase price to the Boys & Girls Club of New Rochelle to support the programs offered to children ages 6 - 18.

“We’re offering customers a way to support charitable organizations around the country that’s simple and automatic,” said Ian McAllister, General Manager, AmazonSmile. “We think customers will love the opportunity to support their favorite charity without changing how they shop, and there’s no cap on how much Amazon will donate.”

When customers first go to AmazonSmile they should select Boys & Girls Club of New Rochelle as their charity designee. Once the customer selects the Club, Amazon will donate 0.5% of the purchase price from any eligible purchases through AmazonSmile from that point forward, whether a customer shops just once or once a day. Customers can shop via their PC, tablet or phone by simply typing smile.amazon.com into the web browser.
