Bennie W. Chiles III, M.D. To Be Honored By Boys & Girls Club of New Rochelle

Since 1929, the Boys & Girls Club of New Rochelle has provided high quality programs and support to children age 6 to 18 within the community. The organization does so through its core programs which include Healthy Habits; Career Launch; Diplomas 2 Degrees; SMART Girls and Passport To Manhood. The Boys & Girls Club of New Rochelle’s programs are designed to promote Character and Leadership Development; Education and Career Development; Health and Life Skills; the Arts; and Sports, Fitness and Recreation. But more important, the organization strives to provide each child the best possible start in life by offering opportunities and experiences they might not otherwise encounter.

On Tuesday, October 15, 2013 New Rochelle resident Bennie W. Chiles III, M.D. will be recognized as “Man Of The Year” by the Boys & Girls Club of New Rochelle. This recognition will take place during the organization’s 51st Annual Golf Outing Dinner Reception at Wykagyl Country Club. This award is presented to Dr. Chiles for his commitment to professional excellence and steadfast support of youth development programs offered by the Boys & Girls Club of New Rochelle to local children daily. Bennie W. Chiles III, M.D. is an attending neurosurgeon at numerous hospitals throughout Westchester, including White Plains Hospital Center, Lawrence Hospital Center, Sound Shore Medical Center, St. John’s Riverside Hospital, Community Hospital of Dobbs Ferry, and Westchester Medical Center. He is also an attending neurosurgeon at New York University (NYU) Langone Medical Center, and the NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases (NYU-HJD) in New York City. Dr. Chiles serves as Chief of Neurosurgery at Lawrence Hospital Center in Bronxville, New York. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the New York University (NYU) Department of Neurosurgery, as well as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery at New York Medical College. He was certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery in 2002, and was named a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons in 2004. He is a Fellow of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, as well as an active member of the New York State Neurosurgical Society, where he serves as a member of the Board of Directors, and is currently President-Elect.  Chiles has been included in the prestigious Best Doctors in America list since 2007.

The Boys & Girls Club of New Rochelle’s 51st Annual Golf Outing is co-chaired by Mr. Bruce Daniele and Mr. John J. McCarthy, longtime supporters of the organization. This year’s outing offers a barbeque style luncheon, 12 pm shotgun start, gift for each participating golfer and dinner reception complete with award presentations for top golfers. Individual tickets are $450 and a foursome is $1,800. A limited number of sponsorship opportunities and journal advertising options are available for purchase by calling the Club’s Development Department at (914) 235-3736. 

The Boys & Girls Club of New Rochelle is a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving the youth of the community.
