Three New Rochelle residents among graduates of 2012 Leadership Westchester

The Volunteer Center of United Way joined over 120 supporters on June 28th for the 2012 Leadership Westchester Graduation at the Gateway Center at Westchester Community College in Valhalla. Included among the graduates were Nancy Levin, Joanne Taylor and Paula Wedlaw, all from New Rochelle.

Leadership Westchester is a cutting-edge learning curriculum that prepares passionate, knowledgeable, and highly skilled individuals to assume positions of influence and impact, particularly as board members at nonprofit organizations in the region. Graduates from the 17 years strong program include leaders from business, public and nonprofit sectors who become part of the Leadership Westchester Alumni Association. Albert D. I think it's great that Pamela Davis stepped up to run and I would be glad to vote for her any otherRead More year. But this year we have one of New Rochelle's most dedicated and knowledgeable activists running. Bob Cox knows New Rochelle and the school district inside and out. I'm not sure the same can be said for Pam Davis. If you want someone who already knows where the wasteful spending is, and already knows the district's strengths and weaknesses, then Bob Cox is the person. Who cares how congenial he is? Where some people see anger and finger-pointing, others see tenacity and accountability.
