SALESIAN HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS NEED FUNDS FOR TRIP TO NICARAGUA TO BUILD HOME FOR YOUNG GIRL & HER FAMILY
Trip Planned by 5 Students and 2 Faculty Members for Early February Needs $14,000 in Donations
New Rochelle, NY (December 21, 2012,) – As Salesian
High School students and staff eagerly anticipate the holiday break, there are five students and two faculty members who are looking forward to this break with much apprehension. These students are upset because they don’t think they will be able to raise enough money for a planned trip during winter break this February to Nicaragua.
During the week off of school in February, they were scheduled to board a plane bound for Nicaragua where they will endure a hostile environment with horrible living conditions and witness first-hand what the definition of poverty truly is.
While they are there, they will build a house for a young girl named Flo and her family, show love to all those who cross their path, and have their lives forever changed. This is what they chose to do instead of enjoying a fun-filled
vacation.
However, right now they have not raised enough money to make the trip. They still need to raise $14,000, and they are unfortunately very short at the moment. Salesian
High School is asking the community to help assist these students to accomplish their goal. Anyone wishing to make a donation can click on the following link.
